Dear residents,

City of Melbourne is holding an event on Evan Walker Bridge as part of the Now or Never Festival between Thursday 20 August and Sunday 30 August 2026. 

The art installation being installed features water – pedestrians should be aware that they may get wet when traversing Evan Walker Bridge during these dates.

The Expected audience per night is 1,000 people.

The bridge will always remain open to pedestriansoutside of the load in/out dates which are listed below. During the below load in and load out times the bridge will be closed to pedestrians.

Friday 14 August 10am to 4pm

Saturday 15 August 7am to 5pm

Monday 17 August 10am to 4pm

Monday 31 August 10am to 4pm

Tuesday 1 September 10am to 4pm

As part of the Now or Never Festival Aerial Filming with licensed drone operations will take place at the following times.

1. Evan Walker Bridge – Thursday, 20 August 2026.

Filming is scheduled between approximately 6:00pm and 6:15pm.

2. Birrarung Marr – Speakers Corner / Yarra RiverThursday, 20 August 2026.

Filming is scheduled between approximately 7:30pm and 7:45pm.
